Abstract

Digital payments are transactions that take place electronically or online without exchanging physical money. Payments are exchanged electronically between both the payer and the payee. This paper aims to identify the usage of digital payment systems by rural customers and to understand the obstacles faced by rural customers in adopting digital payment systems. A convenient sampling method is employed for selecting a sample of 75 respondents with bank accounts in rural areas of Annur taluk. The data is analyzed using Simple Percentage, Weighted Mean score, T- test, and ANOVA. The results indicate that bank type influences the usage of digital payment systems.
